Freedom, Containment, and Discipline
Month One: The stabilization and tools for the exploration
Daily Practice – 30 minutes per day: Daily heart center meditation (20 minutes) and 10 minutes of journaling each day. In addition, daily – pick 5 times per day (set timers) where you will visit the heart center briefly (10 seconds to 1 min minimum). As well, any time there is stress, agitation, or difficulty – please take a moment to heart center. One needs to build the habit that the heart center is a place to visit when unstable or off center as well as when meditating. This is important and must be rooted in the psyche to deepen.
Report back during the month and at the end of the month, here, with thoughts and experiences. Dig deep to find out what this assignment/theme is bringing to you.
This week, while you do your daily practice - Record the internal voices, thoughts, images that speak to you when you have resistance to your practice. Note tone, age, image and color of image, gender, quality. Note where they are in your body. Note smells, images, feelings. No need to change anything you are observing.
